I thought I could take a moment and show a few of my favorite photos from this past year in a series of posts over the next few days.
Finding Heart, Photographing Love – The angle of the Katelyn and Clayton’s position and the passionate hold he has – just love this!
As the storm rolled in, in Port Huron in July I thought how could we take advantage of this moment – back flash and Studio Umbrella –
Back flash
When I saw Sally’s Pink gown I thought how cool it was (my first in the 14 years I have been at this). I love the natural feel of this photo.
People always ask why do my couple’s look so relaxed and natural. I think it is more about the interaction that puts people at ease. That and a really fun Engagement Session.
Natural smiles a slight back light from the sun the corn stalks in the background for color and a matte finish tops off this favorite.
Not many brides can pull off the look. Christine knocked it out of the park (of course with a little help).
I love the use of chalk boards in photos
The father of the groom had an old maroon truck he brought for the photos in between the Ceremony and Reception. I love this very vintage feel and of course with the black & white it just works.
Nothing like fall and the beautiful texture and color of corn stalks during a setting sun.
One of my favorites over looking the chapel at St. John’s in Plymouth Michigan from the Bridal Suite.
Nothing like the first look of two people in love during a wedding day.
Many people have told me your couples look like models. It is really putting them in the right light knowing how to pose and messing around to get a very natural reaction.
Taking advantage of a sunset in 20 degree weather with a camera that can capture a wide dynamic range (the bright areas and dark areas).
